What Is the Future of the Pedal Industry? | The Pedal Movie Extras

Here at Reverb, we love to discuss the history of effects. We've published countless videos and articles on the topic—including a series on First Effects—and this spring, we released The Pedal Movie, a full-length documentary about how pedals got their start and took over the guitar-playing world.

For The Pedal Movie, we interviewed more than one hundred builders and artists about our shared obsession. And we posed one question to almost all of them: What does the future of the pedal industry look like? There were so many answers, there was no way we could fit them all into the movie.

So in the video above, you can watch these clips from the cutting room floor, where a who's who of pedal makers and aficionados opine on what's coming next: Red Witch Pedals, JHS, Old Blood Noise Endeavors, Way Huge, Analogman, Craig Anderton, Meris, Chase Bliss Audio, EarthQuaker Devices, Source Audio, Keeley, Strymon, Gamechanger Audio, Wampler, Andy Martin, Malekko, Dogman Devices, ThorpyFX, Caroline Guitar Company, and Spaceman Effects.

Rent or buy The Pedal Movie below, or check out exclusive pedals from Walrus Audio and Way Huge in The Official Pedal Movie Reverb Shop.
