The EQD Transmisser isn't so much a reverb as it is a black hole. It will take all the seconds, minutes and hours of your day and eat them up without any regard for your to-do list or calendar. This is the kind of pedal that mesmerizes and enchants. Our favorite kind.
At its core, the Transmisser has an analog dry signal path with an entirely digital reverberation signal path shaped by six controls. No combination of settings here will dial in spring, plate or any other "classic" subtle reverb effect. That would be like asking Zappa to play a straight 12-bar blues.
Instead, those controls manipulate the fabric of space-time itself. Three knobs shape the reverb parameters and three knobs shape the character of the modulation.
The reverb is defined by the Decay (tail length), Darkness (reverberated overtones) and Freq (low-pass filter frequency). The modulation is defined by Warp (depth and length), Rate and Mix (wet/dry ratio).
As a bonus, the Freq control can be routed to an expression pedal (Moog EP-3 recommended) for in-the-moment adjustments.
This video only touches the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what the Transmisser can do for guitar, keys or any other instrument for that matter. What will you do with it?
