Learn to Play: Queens of the Stone Age's New Single, "The Way You Used to Do"

Queens of the Stone Age delighted the rock world yesterday when they released a new single from of their forthcoming album, Villains. Dubbed "The Way You Used to Do," the track features QOTSA's signature velcro fuzz tones spread across a tight, slick mix courtesy of none other than Mark "Uptown Funk" Ronson.

A day later, the official YouTube video is up to over 700,000 views with most fans praising the new song and pining to hear the full album which comes out in in August. Included in this class of ardent Queens fans is our very own Joe Shadid who, it turns out, fronts an occasional QOTSA tribute band called 3s and 7s.

Since Joe has such proven record for both teaching guitar parts and nailing QOTSA songs, we thought we'd turn around a quick video lesson on a few of the main riffs from the new track.
