For sale is a vintage Masco 12” speaker from the late 1940s. It originally came from a MASCO MAP-15 combo amp. The speaker had been damaged in the past, so I got it professionally reconed. It is now fully functional, although to my ears it seems to have lost a bit of its bass response.

Since I don’t know exactly how the speaker originally sounded, it may actually be performing as intended after the recone. However, depending on your preferences, you may consider having it reconed differently in the future.

The speaker impedance is 4 ohms. Based on the magnet size and the fact that it was originally used in a 15-watt MAP-15 amp, I would estimate the speaker’s power handling to be around 20–25 watts.

Because of its age, it is being sold as-is.
