The VCS3 Card for the Buchla 208 brings a slice of classic EMS territory into the Easel, adding oscillator and noise circuits based on the Synthi A and VCS3 designs. The oscillator outputs square and triangle waves simultaneously, with added controls like sync, shape CV and selectable ranges, and tracks solidly across several octaves with multiple scaling options. Alongside it is a variable-colour noise source and a true random voltage generator, offering more unpredictable modulation than the standard 208. Designed to run on the original EMS-style power rails, it integrates with most 208 units, though some early versions may require power or slot modifications to run reliably.
