This nifty little box from Surprise Sound Lab is half distortion pedal or overdrive, half tube amp, and all fun — a clever 1-watt valve design that can drive a cab or sit on your board as a gnarly preamp. The tones range from chewy crunch to saturated grind, all with that warm, touch-sensitive bloom only tubes deliver. In excellent condition, it's a rare boutique piece that blurs the line between amp and pedal in the coolest way.

This is a used Surprise Sound Lab Rock Block, an all-tube, compact amplifier designed for guitarists. It's a versatile pedal that can be used as a standalone practice amp, a powerful overdrive/distortion pedal, or as a preamp to drive another amplifier.

The Rock Block features two vacuum tubes (a 12AX7/ ECC83 and a 12AU7/ECC82 or ECC99) which provide authentic tube tone and breakup. The controls for VOL, TONE, GAIN, and OUT VOL allow for a wide range of sonic sculpting, from clean boost to classic rock overdrive. A dedicated "BOOST" toggle switch provides an extra kick for solos or heavier rhythm parts.

This unit is in excellent condition and has been well cared for. It is ready to be a powerful and portable addition to your rig.
