A tremendous Early Gibson Spirit which started life as an ‘Epiphone USA’ model made in the old Kalamazoo factory, it’s well Known that some of these Epiphone branded Gibsons didn’t sell too well so they were sent back to the factory to get a Gibson Silkscreen logo! You can still see the original Epiphone stenciling underneath.
The guitar Is All original apart from the bridge which was swapped for a comfy aluminum compensated stoptail piece and an extra Strap button added at the back of the body.
The body is most likely Alder because of the grain and the lightweight, the neck is a 3pc Norlin style hard Maple and the fretboard is rosewood with dot Abalone inlays .
The best Part is the dual Tim Shaw Double White PAFs 👌🏽 Which sound absolutely fantastic,
frets are in great shape and original, the guitar plays like butter and the neck is Slim.
there’s a lot of play wear around the body especially with buckle rash, side wear and some picking wear on the front, also some lacquer checking on the back of the neck and Headstock. No major issues or repairs.
Comes in the original Chainsaw Case with metal clasps!
Weighs just 3.3kg
