Lyon & Healy "Thornward" spruce top and oak body parlor guitar, built for Montgomery Wards/Chicago (stamped inside) probably1900-20. Guitar has received a neck reset, x-bracing inside, a new period-correct rosewood bridge & pins and bone saddle, new bone nut, new Golden Age tuners. There's a high quality piezo pickup installed under the new bridge plate. MOP fret markers and side markers added. It's strung with Silk & Steel strings, and has great action and tone. Comes with a new, fitted Gator hard case. There's a faint stamped serial number of 251583 visible under the soundboard which dates the instrument to 1905 or earlier. Also visible through the soundhole is a faint stamp Montgomery Wards & Co.
