Martin Custom Shop D-28S 2016

2016 Custom Shop-made D-28S.

This guitar was ordered in the image of the D-28S from the 60s.

Notably, it is made entirely with hide glue. Other key custom features include a T-bar rod mahogany neck, old-style tuners, old-style logo, long saddle and no pickguard.

It appears to have not been played much, with no scratches or dents and very little fret wear. There appears to be no history of repairs other than some binding repairs. There are no pickups or strap pins fitted.

The neck is in good condition and the string height is 2.5 mm on the 6th string and 2.0 mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret position. There is also plenty of room for saddle height.

The thick T-bar neck and the large body with hide glue give the guitar an expressive sound as well as volume. The guitar has good sound separation and is highly expressive, able to take both delicate fingerpicking and vigorous flatpicking.

Comes with a genuine hard case in good condition.
