2024 PRS 509 Wood Library Electric Guitar - Copperhead Burst

The PRS 509 Wood Library in Custom Copperhead Burst stands as one of the most sonically versatile instruments ever born out of Paul Reed Smith’s legendary Maryland workshop. Honoring a rich legacy of innovation trusted by tone icons like Carlos Santana and Mark Tremonti, this Wood Library edition elevates modern guitar craft with hand-selected premium tonewoods. Featuring a breathtaking Carved Artist Flame Maple top paired with a solid Mahogany body, a crisp Maple neck, and a silky-smooth Ebony fretboard, every note resonates with rich warmth, articulation, and sustained brilliance.

At the heart of the 509's impressive sonic footprint is its innovative pickup design: five single-coil pickups arranged to unlock nine distinct tonal combinations. By pairing the outer four coils into humbuckers alongside a dedicated central single-coil, this guitar delivers everything from thick, saturated rock rhythms to glass-like single-coil cleans. The intuitive layout of a 5-way blade switch coupled with two mini-toggle coil-tap switches gives you complete command over your tone, making it seamless to dial in pristine vintage chime or aggressive modern punch on the fly.

Built for maximum playability and performance reliability, the 509 features a comfortable Pattern Regular neck profile, a slightly extended 25.25" scale length, and elegant Abalone bird inlays outlined in shimmering Paua. Supported by high-grade hybrid hardware, the PRS Gen III patented tremolo and Phase III locking tuners ensure exceptional tuning stability and fluid vibrato control. Whether you are cutting tracks in the studio or commanding the main stage, the PRS 509 Wood Library delivers unmatched aesthetic grandeur and ultimate tonal freedom.
