Super rare test equipment holy grail.
A mixture of an amplifier and a band pass filter.
The Rohde & Schwarz UBM is a mystical creature - it was made for telephone line checking and misused by Stockhausen in many works, first and foremost Kontakte, and has been a very well-kept studio secret for acid and techno artists. It can make beautiful resonances and earth-shaking bass drums. It turns anything into a sound monster and has beefed up countless TB-303s, especially in the Netherlands, where knowledge of test equipment is spread way more.
The timbres you get are very acoustic, they can sound like early electronic music but also like the monster bass drums and tones you get hit with at Berghain.
Good condition but with a little rust pitting on the outer case.
