Here is a Courturier Bb/A “Conical Bore” cornet in great original shape. The silver plating is 99.9% intact with very little damage to any part of this cornet. As you can see, none of the slides can be pulled so if they were dented it is a real hassle to unsolder the slides to take them out. This one never had any real trauma whatsoever and still has the original 2 extra tuning slides, lyre holder and case! The valves as well as the Bb/A quick change rotor are still in great shape which are rare for these instruments. This Couturier features M bore, a continuous bore from the leadpipe all the way to the bell, including valve ports and knuckles! It plays exceptionally well given this was made 100 years ago! You can own this piece of American history for a fraction of what a cornet costs be these days!
