The Case...
This case show wear in the form of tolex tears and scratches. There is tape and tape residue as well as stickers on the outside. All three latches work, but the handle broke off and was replaced by a pink rope. It holds the guitar well, but the lid doesn't like to stay open by itself due to the tight lid-ribbons.

The Guitar!
Here is a Hondo H-1 Death Dagger that has been supremely modified. First off - it was spraypainted? neon orange. Not the best color in person, but it looks killer under blacklight! The finish has tons of orange peel and was not a professional job, but it doesn't feel completely terrible. This one was originally metallic blue with pinstripes. It appears the original finish is still under this paint so with a little bit of love you might be able to restore it - no telling what is under the paint though. The Hondo logo is just barely visible under the spray paint.

The pickup has been replaced with a cheap Epiphone that is extremely microphonic under distortion. The knob is cracked and doesn't stay on that well and the output jack only works 60% of the time. A higher-quality pickup, pot and output jack would do this guitar wonders. It functions as-is, but is rated as poor because I would not gig this guitar as-is. It needs a set up badly, but the current bridge's adjustment pieces are all stripped so you'll either have to replace those screws/saddles or replace the whole bridge. The truss rod is stiff, but appears to function.

Conclusion
These are really cool looking guitars - but it wasn't my favorite to play. Some TLC might go a long way with this or - but you can just use it as a cool 80s wall hanger in your blacklight room!
