Mandolin built by Fratelli Vinaccia in Naples in 1927, the instrument is perfect ready to play, is a mandolin with an essential aesthetic, but the sound is the best as all Vinaccia instruments.

This instrument was called a mandolin in the early 18th century (around 1735) in Naples. At that time, all instruments of this type had viscera strings. Evidence of the first modern steel-stringed mandolins can be found in the literature of Italian musicians who traveled throughout Europe teaching and giving concerts. Of note are Signor Leone and G.B. Gervasio who traveled between 1750 and 1810. Data collected on the Vinaccia family of Italian violin makers from Naples has led some scholars to believe that the modern steel-stringed mandolin was developed in Naples by this family. Gennaro Vinaccia worked between 1710 and 1788, and Antonio Vinaccia between 1734 and 1796. An early example of a mandolin was built by Antonio Vinaccia in 1772 and is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England. Another was built in 1763 by Giuseppe Vinaccia, and is in the Kenneth G. Fiske Museum of Musical Instruments in Claremont, California. The oldest surviving mandolin was built in 1744 by Gaetano Vinaccia, known as the "Stradivarius" of mandolins. It is housed in the Conservatoire Royal de Musique in Brussels, Belgium.
