Roland D-110 OS v1.13 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT

Why Upgrade? & What’s New in OS v1.13?

This official Roland firmware fixes all known bugs, improves MIDI and patch reliability, and delivers smoother, more dependable performance.

• v1.08: Fixed timbre data saving issues in Data Transfer mode (1.06–1.11).
• v1.09: Corrected transmission of meaningless data on undefined/excessive requests (1.07, 1.08).
• v1.10: Improved MIDI device-ID handling, plural channel changes, bender range fix, key shift enhancements (1.00–1.09).
• v1.11: Enhanced rapid MIDI volume response, fixed data overwrite, bug fixes for synth structures, and more (1.06–1.10).
• v1.12: Fixed "stuck note" with Yamaha sequencers (1.06–1.11).
• v1.13: Corrected Note On/Off behavior in Overflow Assign mode for chained units (1.11, 1.12).

Compatibility and Serial Number Information

Fully compatible with all Roland D-110 units, regardless of serial number or current firmware.

For reference, these are the serial ranges for factory-installed firmware:

• v1.11: Serial CA39600 and above
• v1.12: Serial DB22300 and above
• v1.13: Serial DB72800 and above

If your D-110 has an earlier version (or you're unsure), this chip will bring you fully up to date.

How to Check Your Current D-110 Firmware Version

• With your Roland D-110 powered off, press and hold the following 3 buttons:
• • [PART ▼]
  • [PARAMETER BANK ▼]
  • [ENTER]
• While holding all three, turn the power on.
• The screen will display your current firmware version.
• Once noted, power off before regular use.

If your version is below 1.13, this upgrade brings it fully up to date!

Important Installation Warning:

Incorrect EPROM insertion (backwards) will destroy the chip, and improper IC installation can cause permanent damage. Ensure the chip's notch aligns with the socket guide before installation.

Installation Guidance:

• Align the notch on the EPROM chip with the notch on the mainboard socket.
• Install only in a static-free environment. Use anti-static precautions during handling.
