Up for sale, a 1967 Vega Earl Scruggs SR-II model banjo in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with its original Lifton hardshell case. Weighing 9lbs 9oz, this SR-II features a 10 15/16” multi-ply rim, flamed maple neck, ebony fingerboard, flamed maple resonator, 24 brackets, a double coordinator rod, and an "Audiosonic" Tubaphone tone ring. The truss rod cover is inscribed with "Earl Scruggs Model".

The gloss Sunburst lacquer finish presents very cleanly, with some vertical checking on the resonator, light oxidation of the nickel-plated hardware, and some small dings and faint finish scratches. There is more pronounced vertical checking on the headstock face, and the gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original Lifton-branded hardshell case is included.
