A cool Les Paul really shouldn't be missing from a guitarist's arsenal, and this 2008 Studio scores plenty of points in that regard with its Metallic Green finish!
The observant enthusiast will have noticed it immediately; this Les Paul was originally released as a Robot model. This advanced electronics, together with the Robot tuning machines, could automatically tune the guitar, but it also caused a lot of problems. Opponents were all too happy to remove this system, and that is exactly what happened with this Les Paul. A CTS potentiometer handles the tone control of the bridge pickup, and the Gibson Deluxe tuning machines provide a familiar analog tuning experience.
What remains is a remarkably light Les Paul; thanks to the weight relief, the guitar weighs just over 3.6 kilograms, and acoustically, it sounds more like a Thinline Telecaster. Amplified, however, the humbuckers provide an unadulterated rock sound! The guitar has some signs of wear and dings on the body and neck, but is certainly in neat condition for an 18-year-old instrument. It is a true stage guitar; in addition to the light weight and familiar Les Paul sounds, the Neutrik jack ensures that you don't have to worry about your signal dropping out during a wild rock show!
This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
