A very cool, early Musicmaster Bass!
One of Fenders many examples intended towards the student/beginner market, the Musicmaster Bass offered up a shorter scale length (30") with simplified controls and electronics. This particular example dates to 1971, and is finished in a beautifully worn-in olympic white. Neck is stamped October of 1971. Composed of an alder body with maple neck and veneer rosewood fretboard, this example features its original grey bottom pickup in tandem with original pots that date to 1971. Other neat features include the original thumb rest, bridge, knobs, and tuners. A brass nut has been added at some point.
Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing signs of wear and discolouration to the finish in addition to various dings and scratches throughout. The pickguard has chipped in one place. There is sticker residue from a previous sticker on the back of the headstock. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Currently strung with flatwound strings. Includes the original case (handle has detached).
* Please note a 10% Reverb & PayPal fee has been added to the listing price.
