Awesome sounding Clone of a Fender 6G3 Deluxe Head, hand wired in my home shop with high quality components and hardware. New set of matched EH 6V6GT power tubes, a JJ GZ34 Rectifier tube (giving 415v on the 6v6 plates) a low noise EH 7025 in V1 and JJ 12ax7 preamp tubes for the other 2 noval sockets. Tested, burned in and biased at 70% and ready to plug and play! Features Switchcraft jacks, Belton tube sockets with retainers and shields, a CDE USA made power transformer and a killer sounding USA made, Heyboer, paper interleaved, 20 watt output transformer with 8 ohm speaker out, MOD filter caps, Gavitt cloth covered solid wire, Vishay coupling caps, Vishay 1kv ceramic oscillator caps for the tremolo , new production carbon comp plate resistors for a lil mojo, 3 watt metal oxide power resistors in the power supply, Full sized Alpha/CTS pots just to name a few. So the amp is built for a long and reliable service life! I also build the head cab and eyelet board in the home shop which helps me sell these for a bit less money without skimping on good quality materials. Cab is 1" solid pine, and back and baffle are 1/2" maple ply. Eyelet board is 0.093" thick sourced from Mojotone as are the eyelet themselves. The amp has a bright and normal channel as pictured as well as Fender's famous bias tremolo! I added an adjustable bias pot, additional filtering to the bias node, 1 ohm (1%) bias resistors on the 6V6 cathode for easy biasing in the future. I added 1.5k grid stoppers on the power tubes, I reduced the cathode bypass cap on V1 (a&b) from 25uf down to 4.7 uf to tighten up the low end a bit (-2 db at 100hz approx). I also increased the first two filter caps to 30uf and 30uf and 20uf while the remaining is a 16uf. I did this for reduced power supply hum and provide better low frequency handling when the amp is pushed. I added a NTC thermistor to the primary side of the PT as well as safety diodes to the rectifier plates for inrush current limiting and to protect the rectifier tube. And finally I implemented a more modern grounding scheme which keeps the amp whisper quiet at idle. Other than what's mentioned above; the amp is stock Fender! All components are within 5% tolerance or better and are higher wattage rated than what the schematic calls for. These amps have an awesome touch sensitivity and response. Gets that ZZ Top crunch around 4/5 on the dial with humbuckers. Single coils have more clean headroom with the circuit since it was designed to be used with Fender guitars ; ) Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! Added a sound clip below. amp is going into a 2x12 with Celection Creambacks. Les Paul Traditional with a Suhr Thornbucker PAF going straight in, no pedals. PS: this is a new build but Reverb only wants dealers to list anything as "Brand New" so I went with excellent. But it is brand new and only has a couple hours of play to burn in the tubes properly.
