Moog Walnut Case Ears for Mother32, DFAM, Subharmonicon, Labrynth, etc - Grade A Matched Pair! - Authentic Moog!

These are a matched pair of actual Moog case caps/ears for the 60hp series of Moog instruments (Mother32, DFAM, Subharmonicon, Labrynth, etc) as well as the 60hp and 104hp skiffs (both powered and unpowered) that were being manufactured over the past 15 or so years. The caps were pulled from genuine Moog products that were purchased new over the past five or six years. By default, that still makes them “used”, as they have been installed on equipment. From a larger lot, I pieced together ten “Grade A Matched Pairs” that will serve as a suitable refurbishments for Moog instruments and/or cases that have either lost or damaged caps. The listing you are viewing is for Grade A Matched Pair Number 9, which are the exact product that you will see in the photos. Even as a “Grade A Matched Pair” you can expect some slight variations between the left and right caps (because they are literally grown from trees). Moog themselves had equally such a variation. However, these caps are a best-case-scenario regarding overall wood tone and pattern, especially when viewed from the end grain. The photos are crucial at representing what you are buying, and should be scrutinized cautiously. 

They are ordered as follows:

1st: The matched pair showing both “outer“ faces together.

2nd: The outer face of the left cap.

3rd: The outer face of the right cap.

4th: The inner face of the left cap.

5th: The inner face of the right cap.

The outer faces have minor indentations where the case screws impressed slightly into the wood. There are no such indentations on the inner faces, which can be chosen to be used as outer faces by simply swapping the left and right caps, if you prefer. I will not separate pairs or mix and match them, but I do have a number of “Grade A“ and ‘Grade B” single caps that I will likely post soon. If you are in a hurry, send me a message.
