Erica Synths Black EG2 – Reverb Description

The Erica Synths Black EG2 is a versatile analog ADSR envelope generator designed for musicians who want more flexibility than a traditional envelope. Unlike many envelope generators, the Black EG2 features an internal gate generator with adjustable gate length, allowing it to generate full ADSR envelopes even when triggered by short trigger pulses. This makes it an excellent companion for trigger sequencers and compact modular systems.  

The module is fully re-triggerable and includes a unique loop mode, where it continuously cycles through a complete ADSR envelope rather than a simple AD envelope. Gate length can be controlled manually or via CV, opening up creative modulation possibilities ranging from evolving filter sweeps to rhythmic LFO-like movement. Whether you’re shaping VCAs, filters, wavetable oscillators, or complex modulation chains, the Black EG2 is a powerful and intuitive addition to any Eurorack system.
