Classic early H-150 with a beautiful flamed top and lemon burst/faded sunburst finish. Without the neck break this would rate at the high end of very good. The two piece top is especially clean, and has great grain and a nice amount of flame. The back appears to be one piece. There are a few scattered small dents and scuffs which I tried to photograph.

As mentioned it has an older neck repair, professionally done, stable and clean. Wasn't a total break, but it did crack the overlay under the E/e tuners. Neck shape is closer to a 60's carve, fairly thin, even taper, easy to play. Back of neck is very clean. Frets have some wear but much less than you'd expect on a 95 - it's possible this had a partial refret, but the previous owner didn't mention it. It's also possible it just wasn't played much. It does appear to have new pots and caps and the original pickups have been replaced along the way as well.

Regardless it plays great top to bottom. Weighs in at approx. 9 lbs 8 ozs.

The Heritage headstock allows more direct string path, which helps noticeably with tuning stability.

Hand made at 225 Parson St., Kalamazoo MI, prior home of Gibson USA. If you don't know the Heritage story, please look it up - and if you're ever in the neighborhood, go and take the tour, it's an amazing building with amazing history - but mostly, as I suspect it's always been, amazing people building world class guitars.

Original case in good shape, a couple scuffs on the outside, inside clean and solid.

This is a really nice players LP from the place where it all started. With the considerable neck repair discount this is a great way to make the jump into domestic single cuts. Or, if you already have a Made in USA LP, maybe you need one more as a pickup mule. Anyway you look at it this is an awesome value, a whole lotta guitar for the money. I'm only selling because I really prefer a fuller neck, so I just dont pick this one up.

Outdoor photos show the back a brighter red than it actually is. I hoped I could capture some of the depth of the top in the sun, but no luck with that.
