Bought the UFX new from Sweetwater in 2016. Original buyer and the only owner / user. Used in smoke-free home studio where it has been racked that time other than a few live recordings with it in portable racks. No issues at all: all functions work properly, all pots clean, all buttons work, all I/O fine, DUREC records, all sample rates work, no clocking or other issues. Totalmix is a game changer for home/project/studio work or something like podcasting / livestreaming and the audio for a multiple rig setup. The unit uses USB type B->A. MAC or WIN, rock solid drivers.

Comes with ARC-usb remote (Silver version), connects to your host computer over USB.

Both are used, but very good condition, and barely any visible scratches / rack-rash etc.

Either with ARC remote or just using TotalMIX, the UFX is a full-fledged monitor controller so there isn’t a need for additional monitor controller hardware. A/D and D/A conversion on the unit is phenomenal. You can hook up 2 pairs of monitors for A/B switching, and the monitor section has mono, dim, talkback, phones 1&2 volumes, ext input (which you can also setup in totalmix real-time monitoring of all inputs (no playback) with no latency (actually like ~3ms, depending on sample rate) of all your inputs bypassing any playback/DAW latency. Analog & ADAT pairs (with D/A downstream) can be used to setup stereo headphone / monitor mixes for several artists while tracking. In a hybrid setup, the analog & digital I/O can be used to connect tons of outboard gear. Any channels can be set to loopback so anything can be monitored and / or recorded which is powerful for production workflows. TotalMIX makes dealing with all this very seamless.

The UFX can operate in standalone mode as a preamp / converter box. You can flash different states to it from the computer host if you need something other than your last user state.

DUREC is on-device USB port for recording to USB key or hard drive (check format requirements) that can allow you to record live, as a backup or replacement to your DAW recording, and you can also playback multichannel files for system check or live soundcheck (connected to PA or to venue console).

DIGICHECK is free analyzer software running on host computer available from RME support pages and is super powerful for peak/RMS levels, goniometer, spectogram, correlometer and other metering. All the visualizers are accelerated/run via DSP hardware chip on the Fireface itself so you don’t tax your computer much with these graphics, which respond VERY FAST & amazingly responsive, and also system-wide and not DAW dependent. You can point digicheck at any playback channels / outputs you want to meter.
