Built by Salvaged Sound, this passive guitar cabinet combines a modern Dayton Audio B652 enclosure with an original 4-inch speaker salvaged from a 1969 Montgomery Ward Airline GEN-1479A multiband radio.
The original Airline driver delivers warm mids, controlled bass, smooth highs, and excellent articulation. Clean tones remain balanced and detailed, while edge-of-breakup, overdrive, and fuzz stay focused without becoming harsh or brittle.
The solid MDF Dayton enclosure provides a rigid, well-braced cabinet that complements the vintage speaker while adding durability and improved projection compared to its original radio enclosure.
