1993 Epiphone Joe Pass. Made in Korea.
The playability of this guitar is fantastic. It has perfect fretting that allows very low action. There is litle fret-wear at all. It plays like butter. The tone is great for Jazz and other genre (mellowed by the pickups described below).
Has a couple of upgrades I can see ... Knobs are changed, tailpiece looks like it is new and I was told the pickups are Gibson '57 Classics when I purchased it locally a couple of years ago - they certainly look and sound like they are.
There are dings and player wear in the top and pick marks on the pickguard. I've tried to picture them as best I can. The neck has virtually no damage and feels great.
There is a visible area on the back of the headstock (pictured) from what was probably a sales sticker that was not removed before the finish faded with age. This also is present under the bridge.
The flamed maple back and sides appear better in person than iI managed to get the pictures to show.
There is a little scratchiness in the pots as they are turned.
Altogether, this an instrument that does not disappoint in its playability and tone.
Comes strung with brand new Thastik-Infeld BB111 Roundwound Jazz Bepop strings which work really great on this guitar.
There is no case.
