For sale or best offer is a vintage 1973 Gibson L6-S Custom with a natural finish. The L6-S marked several of Gibson's "firsts", including being the first collaboration with Bill Lawrence, as well as it being Gibson's first 24 fret model. It has a thin, "flattened Les Paul" body, so it is lightweight and easy to play.
It has a replaced ABR-1 bridge, tailpiece, and upgraded Sperzel locking tuners. It is loaded with Bill Lawrence designed Super Humbuckers and a 6-way pickup selector that works as follows:
• Position #1: Both pickups in series and in phase.
• Position #2: Front pickup only.
• Position #3: Both pickups in parallel and in phase.
• Position #4: Both pickups in parallel and out of phase.
• Position #5: Rear pickup only.
• Position #6: Both pickups in series and out of phase.
It is in great shape with some nicks, dings, and finish play wear. Its pickguard is chipped under two of its screws and no longer has its truss rod cover. It's a ton of fun to play and sounds awesome! It weighs 7 lbs, 13 oz.
It has been professionally setup and comes with a gigbag.
