1957 Jensen P12P Alnico 12" speaker

1957 Jensen P12P alnico speaker for recone. A holy grail of vintage guitar speakers, Jensen P12P's sit between a P12Q and P12N, with the same size voice coil of the N and larger magnet than the Q. These were the stock speaker in 1950's Gibson A-40 amps and sound fantastic. Warm cleans and throaty roar when pushed full tube compression. Absolutely worth reconing. I've had Weber Speakers restore a number of these for my shop over the years, and they do a great job at reasonable cost. Request the orginal nomex voice coil former and your choice of cone, and you have a new speaker with vintage tone, specs and cosmetics.
