Vintage 1970s Acoustic Control Corp Model 230 Head & 403 4x12 Cab Stack w/ Original Cover
Up for sale is a classic mid-1970s Acoustic Control Corp Model 230 solid-state amp head paired with its matching Model 403 4x12 cabinet and original Acoustic vinyl slip cover.
Famous for driving iconic 1970s guitar and bass tones (and heavily sought after by modern doom, sludge, and stoner rock players), the Model 230 features a 5-band graphic EQ, built-in spring reverb, and master volume for incredible versatility and massive headroom.
Details & Condition:
- Tested & Operational: Audio passes loud and clear through the main signal path.
- Tone & Output: Primary Volume, Treble, Midrange, Bass, Reverb, and Master Volume controls respond well.
- Vintage Hum / Capacitors: Exhibits a slight, standard background hum consistent with vintage solid-state amps of this era
- Footswitch / EQ Bypass: I do not have the proprietary 6-pin footswitch, so I'm not able to switch into the other sections (such as EQ bypass). The amp functions in its primary configuration.
- Cosmetics: In solid vintage shape overall with typical cosmetic wear from age. Includes the original vinyl cover for the head.
Due to the size and weight of the 403 4x12 cabinet, this listing is for Local Pickup Only in the Seattle area. Buyers are welcome to bring their instrument and test the unit at pickup.
