Here we have a very rare and unique late 1967 transition Fender Deluxe Reverb. Not only is it a 100% original, this gem is a one owner amplifier with it's cover, footswitch, and it's original receipt of purchase on October 24th. 1968, from a westside music store just outside our city of Detroit. Motown!

I am calling it mint less a few slight hard to notice surface marks on the silver faceplate by the input jack. You cannot really see these spec flaws in the pictures. I mean this guy is clean inside and out!

This almost 60 year old Fender amplifier has never been to a gig, has no odors, and has been in storage for the past 40 years. The late family member and original owner of this pristine Deluxe Reverb also had a 1969' Les Paul Custom, but yet played for a little fun and was never a professional.

My amp technician has been with me the entire 40 year ride and we both went through this gem together very excited to say the least. He simply had to clean the components, pots, input jacks, etc.

We found 2 interesting things about this amplifier. One was there was no 2 letter ink stamp on the tube chart to clarify the month and year. The other oddity was the upper tube back panel,, the 2 top mounting screws are there but there is no wood frame behind them so they are screwed in to nothing? We found that strange. Were they short on the framing wood that day. About an inch!

I realize the chassis is ink stamped 2180868 the 8th. week of 1968, yet almost all the components are dated from 1967 and a few from 1965 as follows with serial # A-026862:

So close to being a blackface. Even the output transformer is from late 1965.

We are having and have had a lot of fun here at Gordy's Music! I was just remembering about 35 years ago a tour bus pulled up to our little shop, and who rolls right in and hangs out for an hour? Lenny Kravitz and his entire group, right about the same time I was selling many guitars to and chauffeuring around Dee Dee Ramone who had an apartment a block down from my house.
