This is a great example of a well loved, all original, CBS era Jaguar in Candy Apple Red finish. At the time, this was Fender's most expensive model at $368 (for reference, a Stratocaster was $252) and the custom color was an extra $18 up charge. It was made just after CBS had purchased Fender so it has some transitional features such as the later style bound fingerboard but with dot inlays which are usually associated with pre-CBS Jaguars. The beautiful original Candy Apple red finish has honest playwear that you can only get from decades of gigging. The finish on the back of the neck has been played down to the smooth wood and feels great. Electronics and pickups are original with pots dating to 1966. It's had a refret so it plays perfectly up the neck. The original mute assembly is included in the original hardshell case. Overall this is a great collectable piece of classic Fender history that will continue to appreciate in value as you enjoy it.
