Hello everyone,

This US-made "American Fat Telecaster" (I have no idea why they call it "fat", since nothing about it is fat, but whatever) has been mostly sitting unused in my son's bedroom for years and years. When he was using it, we upgraded it in several wonderful ways:

1) The neck pickup was swapped out for a Harmonic Designs "V+ Classic" and if you have never heard these pickups, they are the most fullest, largest-sounding and clearest pickups you are ever likely to hear. If heaven has a sound, THIS IS IT. Seriously, these things just sound clear as a bell and ring out sooo fully and beautifully! (Roughly $150)

2) The bridge pickup is stock BUT my son installed a 4-way pickup selector switch which adds the two pickups IN SERIES, so instead of getting just 3 sounds, you get 4 on this one! And let me tell you, that fourth position is AWESOME...the gnarliest treble bite you have ever heard!

BUT WAIT...there's MORE! If you pull up on the Volume pot, the neck pickup splits into a single coil, offering even more tonal possibilities. I don't feel that those positions are as useful as the main settings, but you may LOVE one or two of these extra possibilities!

3) The original tuners were swapped out for a set of locking Sperzel tuners which are amazing. (Roughly $150)

4) The knobs have been swapped out for some that have kind of "pearloid" on top. Very classy!

5) We also replaced the original flimsy gig-bag for a nicer OnStage gig-bag (Roughly $75).

As you can see from the pics, the guitar is flawless; I don't really see a single ding or anything on it.

As you can see, it has a rosewood fretboard, and I believe the body is alder. The nut width is 1 11/16", the neck is a sweet C...utterly comfy unless you like a huge neck (which this is NOT).

I am retired, my son has kids and hasn't picked this up in years, so our loss is your gain.

Thanks for looking!
