Lang Electronics LRP-1
The LRP was made as tape machine electronics to replace Ampex. Same era as PEQ2, uses same amplifier board.
This unit is totally serviced by pro tech, re-capped and modified for use as high end mic pre or line level pre-amp.
A vintage Jensen JE-16-B mic input transformer (same as in John Hardy Mic Pres) was used for the input -- the stock Freed output transformer sounds amazing.
Operation is super simple - plug in unit and it is on. Meter works and lights up. Set to "BAL", Plug mic into the Balanced Line input and out the XLR line output. Set to "Unbal" for line level bypassing the Input Transformer. "Record level" is to set the gain.
It sounds awesome but I'm downsizing. I used this along side Neve 1272, GML and other mic pres and it more than keeps up and beats the others depending on the material. I included the non-used parts and original manual.
Sold as is due to age, but was in use and I tested it before packing.
