Morgan AC20 Deluxe 1x12 combo in Twilight, built before the BAD transition and signed by Joe Morgan himself. Loaded with a Celestion Alnico Blue rather than the standard Creamback, which is the pairing most players chase in this circuit for the chime and the early compression that defines the AC voice.

The Deluxe is the fully modded version of Morgan's best-selling amp, and the extra features are the reason it exists. A rear switch moves the front end between EF86 and 12AX7. The EF86 is thick and full-bodied with real growl on tap. The 12AX7 is glassier and more sparkling. Add the Normal/Brilliant voicing switch and you have three genuinely distinct amps in one cabinet.

Stage volume keeps dropping, and this is the amp built for that. The power level control takes it from a quarter watt to the full 20 without changing how it sounds or how it reacts. It is not a master volume choking the signal down. The output section keeps working the same way at every setting, so the touch response and the feel you dial in at home are exactly what you get at the gig. Same amp in a bedroom, a studio, and on a stage.

Joe voiced this off the Normal channel of an AC30 and deliberately darkened it, so you get the chime and the growl without the icepick that plagues most Vox-style designs.
