The Poly-800 is Korg's attempt at competing with Roland's Juno's... Still a great synth in it's own right! What would a synth sound if all voices were made out of square waves stacked on each other to created other pseudo-waveforms like a sawtooth? Run 8 of those digital voices into a single analogue low-pass filter; and why not make it kind of a keytar??? And that's how you get the Poly-800!! I honestly gotta give it to Korg for really going out there with this concept keyboard. I will say, programming this little guy is little tedious since you have to use the control panels (Just a few buttons) and MIDI is only for notes. However, if you enjoy that. This keyboard is for you!
This one is in good condition, but with signs of use and permanent marker writing on the keys from previous owner. I'm happy to remove that with some alcohol (I just been lazy at getting that done) There is also an old battery and battery residue left in the battery compartment, I assumed the 9v battery doesn't work, so I always used a 9v power supply with it, and I'm happy to include that in the package. Other than a few scratches here and there (And a scratchy volume knob) They synth works as it should.
Hit me up if you have any questions.
