The HT-BOOST pedal operates on a 300V DC anode supply voltage (High Tension voltage). This is the same used in traditional valve amplifier design and means the circuit has the headroom associated with a true valve design and will 'clean up' accordingly. The pedal will exhibit the compression and distortion characteristics associated with a true valve design.
Dual Outputs
Two separate outputs provide one level for pedals and an extra dynamic high level for the HT-BOOST to drive your amplifier into dynamic valve overdrive.
Genuine Valve Design
Taking advantage of the BOOST's high internal operating voltages the output voltage swings up to four times greater in magnitude, making it like adding an extra two valve stages directly in front of the amplifier.
All Valve 'Cut and Boost' Equalization Circuit
The HT-BOOST has an all valve 'cut and boost' equalization circuit which gives the tone controls an extremely natural feel. Making the EQ 'cut and boost' means the pedal is extremely versatile and can be used as a straight EQ as well as a booster or overdrive unit.
Rugged Design
All Blackstar pedals are subjected to extensive laboratory and road testing to ensure that they are truly uncompromising in terms of reliability, quality and above all tone. You can throw them in the van and take them on the road and not have to worry.
High Integrity Buffered Bypass
The HT-BOOST's buffered bypass signal means there are no problems presented by driving long cable runs or chains of other effects.
Silent Switching
Many hours of research showed that only soft switching and a buffered bypass signal will give absolutely silent switching in high gain applications.
