The Shop’s Take
     Here is an exceptionally rare Lovepedal Burst Boost from a tiny run of approximately seven pedals made by Sean Michael. According to Sean, these were built using some of his favorite diodes and capacitors, and Lovepedal described the Burst Boost at the time as an “oddball” in the COT vein, but padded down and with its own distinctive EQ response. All seven featured the exclusive Tiki graphic and simple single-knob layout seen here. This example is in Excellent condition and is a particularly unusual piece from Lovepedal’s history.

Full Description
     The Burst Boost comes from a period when Sean Michael was producing some of Lovepedal’s more unusual small-batch and experimental designs. Approximately seven Burst Boosts were made, placing this among the scarcer Lovepedal variants we've encountered.
     The pedal features its original metallic orange/brown burst finish and the Tiki graphic exclusive to the Burst Boost run. The controls are deliberately simple: a single knob, LED indicator, and standard footswitch.
     Lovepedal documented the Burst Boost publicly in 2016, with Sean describing it as:

“It’s an oddball, the Burst Boost. Cot vein but padded down…”
     He also noted its EQ response around the 11 o’clock position and compared aspects of its behavior to the Lil China, while making clear that the Burst Boost was something different.
     According to Sean, this small run was built using some of his favorite diodes and capacitors, adding another interesting detail to what was already an unusually limited Lovepedal project.
     The hand-applied burst finish and Tiki graphic vary noticeably from pedal to pedal, giving individual examples their own visual character. This example has a particularly strong burnt-orange/red center, darker perimeter shading, and a bold, well-defined Tiki graphic.
     This Burst Boost is in VG to Excellent condition, with only light cosmetic signs of previous use. The original finish and Tiki graphic remain especially well preserved. Please see the photos for the exact condition.
     For the Lovepedal collector, this is a rare opportunity to pick up an obscure Sean Michael design from a production run measured in single digits. For the player, it offers an unusual branch of the COT family tree that never became a regular-production Lovepedal.
