Vintage Rogers Big R 16x16 Floor Tom Black Wrap Late 1970s Granitone Interior USA Nice!

Vintage Rogers Big R 16x16 floor tom in the original black wrap. This is one of the desirable late-1970s transition-era drums featuring the Big R badge with Granitone interior, reinforcement rings, and the earlier script-era knobby style curved floor tom leg brackets before Rogers fully transitioned to later hardware.

Overall, this drum is in exceptionally nice condition for its age.

Condition:

• Original black wrap presents beautifully with excellent gloss.

• Only light cosmetic scratches and normal handling marks. Most are minor and difficult to notice.

• Chrome hardware is exceptionally clean with very little pitting or corrosion.

• Shell is structurally excellent with no cracks or damage.

• Original Granitone interior is very clean.

• Reinforcement rings are solid.

• Bearing edges are clean and original.

• Evans batter and resonant heads have very little use and plenty of life left.

While reinstalling the hardware, one of the lug mounting screws broke off inside a lug. The drum is being sold AS-IS with that issue fully disclosed. If I locate a spare matching Rogers lug before shipping, I will gladly include it at no additional charge, but I cannot guarantee one will be available.
