VINTAGE 1950's WFL Drum Set in White Marine Pearl

• Details & Notes: Beautifully aged White Marine Pearl WFL drums in a classic "Buddy Rich" inspired outfit. The drums are all in very clean condition with typical expected wear and cosmetic aging. The drums are overall very even in the aging of the finish, with the 9x13 tom being a little lighter in shade than the rest of the drums. All drums are mahogany shells with reinforcement rings. The 9x13 seems to have mahogany reinforcement rings based on their coloration which matches the shell. All hardware on the kit is original with the exception of half the bass drum t-rods and claws. The non WFL t-rods are rogers, and the claws are uncertain, but all share the general same molding which was the norm of the early 50's. The bass drum is a virgin bass drum with hoops mounted spurs and a hoop mounted spade clamp for the tom. The snare drum has an original Super Classic snare strainer with original wires. The strainer, as is typical, is a bit funky and has a hard time staying engaged under heavy play, but with proper set up and tension will hold. All push lever floor tom legs and brackets work and are intact. Shell interiors are clean and external cosmetic conditions are in very good shape. All drums have original tone control, though the tone control on the second 16" sticks and does not want to engage or disengage from its current tension.
