A Rare Tribute to an Historic Year

Early 1954 marked the end of an era for Fender. It was the final production period for the iconic single-ply black phenolic pickguard on the famous Nocaster Blonde finish before the introduction of the white ABS pickguard that accompanied the arrival of the Stratocaster later that year.

This Custom Shop Time Machine model faithfully recreates that important moment in Fender history.

The lightweight two-piece Select Ash body features an authentic offset seam and delivers the lively resonance, snap, and dynamic response that made the original Blackguard Telecasters legendary.

The one-piece Rift Sawn Maple neck is carved to the substantial 1954 "U" profile, offering an authentic vintage feel while the 7.25"–9.5" Vintage Compound Radius provides classic comfort with effortless modern playability.
