2007 Peerless Monarch 17” Archtop – Vintage Sunburst – Made in Korea

A beautifully made 2007 Peerless Monarch 17” archtop in Vintage Sunburst, built in Korea during the period for which Peerless earned an excellent reputation for its hollow-body guitars. The Monarch is a traditional full-depth jazz archtop, combining a solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides, a comfortable maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and a single floating mini-humbucker that leaves the top largely unobstructed. At 17” across the lower bout it has the proportions and acoustic character of a proper jazz box, with a warm, woody voice acoustically and a smooth, articulate amplified sound ideally suited to jazz, blues and fingerstyle playing. The guitar is in very good overall condition for its age and presents extremely well, although there is a localised area of marking/scuffing to the finish on the upper-right area of the front, including a small finish chip, which I have photographed clearly. This is cosmetic only and has no effect on the structure, sound or playability of the instrument.

There is a localised area of marking/scuffing to the finish on the upper-right area of the front of the guitar, including a small finish chip, which is shown clearly in the photographs.
