Here we have a 1970's Univox UHS-1B otherwise known as the Univox Lucy due to it's clear lucite body which was a blatant rip-off of the fine work that Dan Armstrong perfected in the late 60's. This particular example is in excellent shape and has it's original case and is 100% original with no scratches or nicks to the lucite and the neck is completely smooth. I polished the frets and oiled the fret board before installing a fresh set of D'Addario mediums.

This bass features a 31" scale with a 1 5/8" nut and weighs in at 9.8 lbs.

The diagonal line that you see in the last two pics where Lucy is on the table is where the light is shining through the contour on the top of the body. It isn't a scratch or a break.

No pesky tonewood arguments to have here between an original Dan Armstrong and a Univox as lucite is lucite as far as I know. The only difference that has been pointed out is that every copy out there has a steel insert on the bridge as opposed to the rosewood insert of the original. If you're the new owner it could be fun to have a rosewood insert made and hear the difference.

These don't turn up often and hardly ever in this nice of shape. Thanks for looking and as always, feel free to ask any questions.
