Federal AM 864u vari-mu tube compressor, overhauled electronically and ready for deployment in your studio. Built literally like a tank (and possibly alongside them) for military use, these date back to the Korean war. Big meter, big knob, and big sound!
Restoration includes a complete recap, bias, cathode heater elevation, and NOS matched pair of RCA 6SK7 tubes. IEC power inlet and XLR connectors have been retrofitted for modern studio implementation. If desired, the rear control knobs can be moved to the front for a small additional fee.
Please reference photo for cosmetic condition. It shows honest wear and could likely be an authentic relic of signal corps use. It came to me missing the serial plate.
