Gibson J-45 1946
A Gibson J-45 from 1946 or early 1947 that sounds and plays great! The guitar features mahogany back and sides, a spruce top, a 1¾-inch nut width and scalloped bracing. It is a very lightweight guitar with a fantastic, full, and woody tone. It is the ideal singer-songwriter guitar but also works well for fingerpicking. The neck has a medium profile (slimmer than some Gibsons from this era) and plays very well.
The guitar has been refinished, and the tuners, bridge, and bridge plate have been replaced; the rest is original, including the pickguard and frets. There are four minor, repaired cracks on the back, but no cracks on the top or sides. It comes in a non-original case.
There is no serial number on the guitar, which is common for Gibson J-45s from 1946. However, the bracing, logo, binding/trim, and nut width indicate that it dates from 1946 or early 1947.
The guitar can be played in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I also have good boxes and shipping material for shipping.
