1973 Fender Telecaster Thinline in natural ash with a maple neck. Neck heel dated 1973, serial number stamped on the original neck plate. Fender Wide Range humbuckers with the correct CuNiFe magnets, 3-bolt neck with micro-tilt. Light at just 3.49kg.
Confirmed original: body, neck, both Wide Range humbuckers, pots, bridge plate and neck plate. Factory assembly markings still present in the neck pocket and control cavity, including “Herb G“ inspector’s stamp, and the neck-heel date stamp is clear.
The tuners and bridge saddles are correct-type vintage-style replacements, and one string ferrule has been replaced. Everything else is as it left the factory.
The guitar plays well as-is — neck is straight, truss rod healthy, electronics all working correctly. Frets are original and on the lower side but perfectly playable; no refret needed unless the next owner wants one.
The guitar sounds amazing — incredibly resonant, with that semi-hollow Thinline character the Wide Range humbuckers were made for.
Comes in a non-original Fender hardcase.
This is a genuine, honest example of an increasingly hard-to-find 70s Thinline. Reach out with any questions or for additional photos.
