The Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom – Antique Silverburst is a premium signature model developed in collaboration with Gibson Custom to faithfully recreate the legendary 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom played by Adam Jones, guitarist of Tool. It combines vintage-correct styling with upgraded electronics and premium appointments, making it one of the highest-spec Epiphone Les Pauls ever produced.
The Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les Paul Custom in Antique Silverburst captures the look, feel, and tone of Adam Jones' iconic late-'70s Silverburst Les Paul. Designed in partnership with Gibson Custom, this model features a solid mahogany body with a carved maple cap, a three-piece maple neck carved to Adam's custom profile, and an ebony fingerboard for exceptional sustain and articulation. Unlike traditional Epiphone Les Paul Customs, it sports the authentic Gibson "Open Book" headstock, premium CTS electronics with Orange Drop capacitors, and a pickup combination that mirrors Adam's original guitar—a reverse-mounted Gibson Custombucker in the neck and a Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucker in the bridge. Finished in a stunning Antique Silverburst gloss, it also includes a Deluxe Protector Series hardshell case with a replica convex mirror inspired by Adam's original instrument.
