From the J. Everman website:
Tone freaks look no further than the Fuzz Drive Generation 2. This unit combines the best of our Fuzz Drive Deluxe and Original Fuzz Drive in one. The Fuzz Drive is unlike most fuzz/overdrive pedals in that it maintains the low end of your signal. You'll find no harsh "mosquito" tones in the Fuzz Drive and your crunchy sound will remain intact when you crank up your amp. If your looking for a pedal will run the gamut between natural organic warmth, deep haunting blues tones and a huge ethereal fuzzy overdrive, look no further. The Fuzz Drive is built with flexibility in mind, 2 internal user adjustable pots allow you to adjust the bias and drive parameters of the pedal. These controls will allow you to tailor the pedal to your guitar's pickups for the ultimate in control and articulation.

FEATURES:

  • 2 internal, user adjustable potentiometers
  • Custom script engraved face plate Switchcraft(tm) Jacks
  • Davis knobs
  • 1% metal film low noise resistors
  • True Bypass Switching
  • Heavy duty battery clip
  • Power Jack (9VDC): 2.1mm barrel jack
  • Riveted Steel battery holder
  • 1 Meg pulldown resistors
  • High-grade low noise board layout
  • PCB plated though holes
  • Input power filtering

  • A much sought after, rare, original J. Everman effect pedal.

More so a thick Drive/Treble Boost effect with mild fuzzy undertones colouring your amp, rather than going big on fuzz; it'd push an amp, for sure, and I'd say at factory settings, most ideal and maximised potential is found in stacking with another dirt pedal, or high gain amp, or both, if you fancy some good old-fashioned wall-shaking face melting.
Further tweaking can be dialled in with the 2 internal, user adjustable potentiometers for dialing the internal pots to a tone which works for your personal setup - in doing this, I was able to get some BIG tone and dirt.

It's no copy of a Blues Driver, Tube Screamer, Klon, Muff, etc. - J. Everman's were original designs doing their own thing, and definitely their own unique beast.

2 machine screws missing from back plate.
