I bought this Channel strip in February and love it however, I have decided I have to have a curvebender Eq so something has to go! each separate component of this channel strip is very impressive on its own but combined you have a true console sound at your disposal!
This has the 512 preamp, the 527 compressor and the incredible 550a eq!
The preamp gives a very focused and clear sound with tons of vibe. The compressor locks everything in with automatic makeup gain and the eq is the biggest reason I’m going to hate to part with this unit. Makes every source sound better/ more exciting.
