Sargent Guitars SG-2026-01 is a One-Piece 30-Year Aged Acacia Koa Hardtail Strat • Lindy Fralin Pickups • Warmoth Quartersawn Maple Neck • Includes Fender Poodle Case
Serial Number: SG-2026-01
This is SG-2026-01, the first completed instrument built under the Sargent Guitars name.
Every Sargent Guitars instrument begins with the wood—not the hardware. For this build, I started by procuring a one-piece Acacia Koa body that had naturally aged for approximately 30 years as the foundation for this guitar. Its grain, color, and resonance simply couldn't be replicated with newer lumber.
The body was professionally finished in a high-gloss clear coat by Starr Guitars in Orlando, Florida, preserving the natural beauty and depth of the koa without hiding it behind heavy tinting or opaque finishes.
The goal for this instrument wasn't to build another Strat-style guitar—it was to build one that would feel timeless, resonate acoustically, and inspire someone every time they opened the case.

Tone: This guitar has a voice all its own. The naturally aged one-piece Acacia Koa body delivers exceptional resonance and sustain, while the Lindy Fralin Real '54 pickups retain everything players love about a vintage Strat—clarity, sparkle, and articulation.
The steel-pole bridge pickup adds warmth, grit, and punch without becoming harsh, giving the bridge position its own distinct personality while maintaining excellent balance with the neck and middle pickups.
Acoustically, the guitar is lively and resonant. Plugged in, it offers classic Strat character with additional warmth and authority that suits blues, classic rock, worship, country, and clean fingerstyle equally well.
