*Professional horn for beginner horn price*

One of the most versatile and distinct professional instruments of its era. Built during a transitional phase just after they moved production from Los Angeles to Fullerton California. 1956 models combine early craftsmanship with a brilliant multi-metal design. Bore size is 0.460. This instrument is built with a two-tone bell that has a unique brass stem paired with a dense cupro-nickel/nickel-silver end flare . The tuning slide is composed entirely of nickel silver to enhance the structural vibratory response. This instrument delivers a highly responsive, rich, and vibrant color without overly bright or edgy. It excels at lyrical and “tasty” commercial playing . It slots beautifully into modern jazz ensembles, big band, and commercial studio work, which gave it its namesake. It possesses exceptional response across registers up to a high G, though the slotting gets tight approaching double C. For the price these are some of the best”sleeper horns out there.

This instrument is basically down to bare brass, and SOUNDS, PLAYS, LOOKS, AND FUNCTIONS AMAZING. Instrument Has absolutely great compression. Chemically cleaned and not played since for the next user’s enjoyment. All slides and valve function flawlessly . New water key corks. Case fits a little tight, but works and looks great with this horn. Comes with a used Accent 3c mouthpiece.
