The Eastman Fullertone DC’62 in Desert Sand is a modern, double-cutaway solidbody electric guitar that blends vintage aesthetics with modern features. It features a roasted black limba body, roasted maple neck, and a unique 2-bolt long-tenon neck joint for massive sustain.
Key Features and Design
Designed with a comfortable 12-inch fretboard radius and 24 medium-round frets, this guitar is built for both smooth rhythm playing and fast lead work. The combination of choice tonewoods and hardware ensures that chords resonate clearly and notes sustain beautifully:
- Body: Roasted Black Limba—this creates a lightweight yet resonant foundation with a warm, articulate tone.
- Neck: Roasted Maple—baked at high temperatures to remove moisture, making it highly stable and resistant to changing weather conditions.
- Neck Joint: Fullertone 2-Bolt Long Tenon—an innovative design that allows the neck to touch more of the body, much like glue holds a piece of wood tight. This helps the guitar vibrate longer when you strike a string.
- Finish: Truetone Satin in Desert Sand, paired with a gold-colored aluminum pickguard
